The failure of the climate summit in Copenhagen (December 2009) is just the latest demonstration of how unrealistic the gesticulation of leaders who still delude themselves that they have a power that no longer matches the reality of a deeply divided - and hence margins - the Europe on global challenges critical to our survival.
