After months and months of rumors, promises and hopes about putting on the market camera film really, with interchangeable lenses, sensors, 35mm or so, Sony has announced for next September, the model NEX-VG10E . What surprises me is that we have decided to leave the consumer market to introduce cameras in the features most desired by professionals. The new model promises significant advantages in terms of depth of field, but it seems not to have XLR audio inputs, also has a bit rate of 24 Mb / s, which hardly meet the professionals (Canon recently did breathe a sigh of relief by introducing a codec 50 Mb / s with 4:2:2 color sampling, the 7D and 5D Mark II has a bit rate higher than 40 mb / s). How long will it take Sony to introduce even in professional models a APS-C and the possibility of using optical cameras? XDCAM EX with a 35mm sensor would not mind for sure. The date previously set, the one with the NAB 2011, it now seems too far away.
